Quality of Life Committee Meeting Minutes for 2/17

Discussion:
1) Recent Sustainability Committee Highlights, from Dan Donohue:
Solar Panel Installation on the Civic Center
Feasibility study was conducted, pending approvals, funding, and installation
Solar Panel Installation on the Landfill, located at Luzerne Road
Volt Post Electric Car Charging Project
Realized a potential issue with the 2-hour parking limit
2) Community Issues:
Worked on solutions for problematic kids near the Shirt Factory (email sent in from Eric Unkauf)
Concerns over residential dumpsters on the curb past the pickup time
Excessive vibration and noise from trucks traveling on Murray Street
Concerns over bad smells from local industrial businesses
4) Warren County Office of Solid Waste and Compliance Monthly Meetings
Mayor Palmer asked if someone from the Committee can represent Glens Falls
Meeting occurs on the second Tuesday at 2pm, with the next meeting on March 10th
Councilwomen-at-Large Mary Gooden will contact Scott Royael to attend
