Chapter 30: Eighteen Years Later
“Come on! Come on! The train will be leaving at any moment,” said Ginny Potter.
“Mom! We know!” screamed her three kids in unison.
Harry smiled at Ginny, kissing her as their kids got onto the train. Harry looked sad as the train gave its final whistle and started to move. A tear escaped his eye, while Ginny held his hand.
“They'll be fine. They know who their father is, and I’m sure they would want to be exactly like him,” said Ginny.
Ginny rested her head over Harry’s shoulder as both of them watched the train gather speed and eventually, disappear out of view. Harry took a long deep breath.
After everything that happened, his scar hadn't hurt a bit in the last nineteen years. All was well.
Suddenly, Harry heard a child crying. In the next moment, he saw a red eye glaring at him, right where the train had disappeared moments ago.
“What?" said Harry, loudly.
Ginny stared at him, saying, “What do you mean, Harry?”
Harry looked at Ginny and pointed at the spot where he saw the Eye. But it was gone.
“But… but… I saw… it,” stuttered Harry.
Ginny laughed and said, “What are talking about?”
Harry stood there, motionless, smiling at Ginny, and saying, “Nothing. I was just thinking.”
They both turned around and started walking briskly back towards the station exit, holding each other’s arm. Harry thought, as he walked, that the Eye meant nothing good. Something evil was in store for him, yet he found that he was not scared anymore.
He smiled to himself and said, “Yeah, all is well. At least for now.”
