Tomorrow is the 16th Annual Mike Nolan 5K at the South Glens Falls High School and the 50th Annual Stockade-athon Race, and the weather is predicted to be beautiful. After runners compete in these historic races, we will be hosting a small gathering at our home at 4pm in our backyard. There will be a cooler of sodas, seltzers, water, and beers, along with some hot water for tea, with snacks to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments this year.

There will be a dozen chairs and a roaring fire overlooking the Feeder Canal amid the natural forest in the oasis. Around dusk, I will have a projector showing the Rocky movie in honor of its 50th anniversary and in anticipation of the new film, I Play Rocky in select theaters this weekend and worldwide soon.

Stop on by to enjoy each other’s company, rewatch a classic movie, and celebrate a tremendous year in the running community.
